Kevin Wolff is the lead investigator with 35 years as an employment lawyer, litigator, general counsel and CHRO.

Thirty-Five Years at the Intersection of Employment Law, Corporate Governance, and Executive Leadership

After more than three decades navigating the highest levels of corporate accountability, Kevin Wolff founded HR Investigations to provide organizations with an entirely independent asset for their most critical matters.

Mr. Wolff’s career spans 35 years practicing law and in corporate leadership. He began in private law practice specializing in employment advice, counsel, and high-stakes litigation. From there, Mr. Wolff spent decades inside major corporations serving in dual legal and operational capacities—including as Chief Employment and Litigation Counsel, Chief Human Resources Officer, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Emory University School of Law and Of Counsel to a Florida-based employment law practice.

Having sat at the executive table and advised boards of directors through complex decisions, Mr. Wolff speaks the language of governance. He understands the realities of institutional risk, fiduciary duty, and corporate politics. This background ensures that no matter how high-ranking the individual or how complex the allegation, the investigation is conducted with absolute rigor, total legal precision, and peer-to-peer authority.

Mr. Wolff’s combination of experience qualifies him exceptionally well for complex workplace investigations. He has conducted hundreds of investigations into alleged misconduct at all levels of an organization from the point of view of a company executive reporting to a board of directors, outside counsel, inside counsel, and human resources professional. Moreover, Mr. Wolff is credentialed as a Workplace Investigations Specialist by the Society of Human Resources Management.

Why Clients Trust Kevin Wolff with Sensitive Workplace Matters

Distinctive Combination of On-Point Experience
Kevin Wolff is particularly adept at providing experienced, independent fact-finding in workplace matters ranging from employee complaints to executive misconduct and board-directed investigations. He brings to each engagement an unusual combination of employment law experience, executive leadership experience, and CHRO experience, applied through a disciplined investigative process.

Boardroom and C-Suite Peer Status
As a former Chief Human Resources Officer, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, Mr. Wolff is uniquely equipped to investigate allegations involving senior leadership. He handles executive-level inquiries with the necessary gravity and discretion, operating as a peer to board members and executive teams.

Dual Legal and Operational Mastery
An investigation is only as good as its ability to withstand legal scrutiny. Mr. Wolff’s decades of experience as a litigator mean that every fact is gathered, documented, and analyzed with an eye toward ultimate legal defensibility, while his HR leadership background ensures a deep understanding of operational realities.

True Structural Independence
Because Mr. Wolff operates strictly as an independent fact-finder—not an ongoing human resources consultant or outside counsel looking for future litigation or compliance work—his findings carry absolute credibility. Employees, executives, and courts can trust that the process is entirely neutral and uninfluenced by internal or external politics.
